Birth to 19 Children and Young People’s Outcome, CY P03-24 09

Lay Summary

Throughout childhood and adolescence, children and their families receive care and support from numerous different organisations including health, children’s services, education settings, and other key services.
Over a period of three years, partners from these services joined together in a task and finish group to co-produce a 0-19 Children and Young Peoples’ shared outcomes framework that measures important aspects of children and young peoples’ safety, health and development. The aim of the framework is to identify need, implement services according to need, and measure the impact of new interventions / policies.
To date, the 0-19 framework has been populated by aggregated ward level data compiled by an analyst in CBDMC. This has had an impact on service planning already, highlighting areas of high and differing need across the district. However, this process is time consuming and limited in how much it can tell us about Bradford’s children.
We would like to use Cbradford to obtain anonymised individual level information so we can look at need, plan services and impact of interventions using linked data by key demographic variables (e.g., ethnicity, IMD, gender).
We will take a staged approach to this project, starting by looking at the socioemotional development and school readiness of children in the district.
