The Healthy Urban Places (HUP) project aims to improve health in two cities in the North of England, Bradford and Liverpool, which face significant health challenges and deprivation. The project focuses on understanding how the local environment affects people’s health and using this knowledge to influence policies that can reduce health inequalities. HUP brings together local communities, researchers, and decision-makers to work together and share ideas, breaking down barriers between different sectors like health, housing, and economy. The project will help create and test new ways to improve health in these places, with a focus on long-term benefits. This project focuses on work package (WP) 2, which will analyze data on health and environment to better understand how different factors, like pollution or access to green spaces, impact people’s health
