Our Young Persons’ Advisory Group help us find out what young people in our region think about health data and research.

Our goal is to bring a young person’s perspective to the Yorkshire and Humber Secure Data Environment team.

We give opportunities for our team of 10 young people to get involved, share their views, and help shape how health research is done and how services should improve.

Their views matter because they reflect real-life experiences – especially the lives of young people.

The Young People’s Advisory Group:

  • Take part in monthly sessions
  • Help shape resources for the public
  • Learn how health and care data is used within research
  • Build skills for their CV, college, or university applications
  • Help make sure young people’s voices are included in decisions on how data is used for research
  • Meet new people and make new friends
  • Get opportunities to travel and join events
