School-level absenteeism data. Dr Burridge, and team, continues to work with Hertfordshire County Council to complete evaluation of the county’s investment in air filters for Hertfordshire schools by analysing absenteeism data for the Autumn and Spring terms from the academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. Interventions, in the form of air filter units being installed in all classrooms within, around, 60 of the county’s schools, (predominantly) took place during the summer term 2023, enabling analysis of the absenteeism data both pre- and post-intervention, with the population of Hertfordshire schools that have not received the intervention acting as control group. This work is ongoing as a collaboration with members of Hertfordshire County Council, SEI at the University of York, and the University of Leeds. However, Hertfordshire County Council are the only source of the data, and only researchers at Imperial College London will be analysing the data.
